Facility Services maintains LSU's buildings, utility systems, and grounds. The Customer Service Center (CSC) serves as the primary point of contact for the campus community, coordinating service requests, supporting the daily operations of Facility Services, and coordinating facility-related support for campus events/normal campus activities. The CSC is staffed seven days a week and plays a critical role in supporting emergency response efforts and LSU's Emergency Operations Center. This public-facing position requires excellent customer service skills and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of work order data while providing support during and outside of normal University business hours as needed.


Job Responsibilities:

Work Flow: The position is responsible for assisting the department in administering and managing the FAMIS CMMS system and its various functions insuring the smooth work flow between departments. Ensure accurate daily data input of information into the system. The Representative must be able to scan and electronically attach files containing additional information, such as specifications, diagrams, instructions, etc. to work orders. Ensures correct accounting and billing types on Work Orders within CMMS. -35%


Customer Service: Assist campus community by setting up work orders for crews and researching issues within the system. Training fellow employees to use the CMMS system. Query the CMMS database and generate reports as requested by the Facility Services Administration and Managers. Properly assign work orders to the correct working crew and notify as needed.-25%


Collaboration: Serves as the designated backup Facility Services event coordinator on weekends, providing support for campus events and related operations. Works directly with crews, external customers, the primary events coordinator (Facility Operations Coordinator), and the Assistant Director to support the coordination and execution of campus events. Assists with maintaining the Facility Services event calendar and helps ensure event-related requests, setups, adjustments, and operational needs are addressed during weekends and other times as needed to support uninterrupted event operations.-25%


Effective Communication: Answer calls, help patrons at the front desk, respond to emails, and other duties as assigned.-15%

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS:
Saturday & Sunday - 6:30AM-10PM

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
