Job description

Location:Kohler, WI

Opportunity

 Contribute to the profitability of the Kohler Retail Shops in such a way as to reflect the high standards of the store, the Hospitality and Real Estate Division, and Kohler Co. as a whole. Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to the Hospitality and Real Estate's Mission and Values in order to maintain the status of this elevated property. Contribute to the overall enjoyment of the guests' shopping experience. Follow policies and procedures as established for the Kohler Retail Shops. Assist the Kohler Retail team in whatever way possible to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency throughout the Shops. Ability to work weekends, holidays and in other Kohler Retail Shops (if needed) is required. 

Specific Responsibilities:

SUPPORT LEAD/FOH OPERATIONS

1. Assist in training, supervising and supporting a team of retail sales associates.
2. Drive and motivate the team to meet sales objectives.
3. Work the sales floor and operate POS system daily. Interact with guests on a regular basis.
4. Assist with covering any shifts as needed due to associate no-shows or lack of coverage.
5. Lead in the restocking of merchandise and cleanliness of outlet.
6. Work closely with buyers and retail leaders on product selection and product display.
7. Prioritize tasks as requested by management.

FINANCIAL

1. Partner with leadership to support profitability and sales objectives:
a. Collaborate on managing and controlling operating expenses.
b. Assist in achieving operating income projections.
c. Help maintain planned cost of sales.
2. Monitor inventory levels and place re-orders as needed in coordination with the Supervisor - Kohler Retail.
3. Process month-end Dataworks write-offs (promos, damages, etc.).
4. Work with Accounting to ensure all transactions are processed properly.
5. Maintain store procedures book and update SOP's as needed.
6. Display new merchandise and rearrange sales floor as directed by the Supervisor - Kohler Retail.
7. Work with Supervisor - Kohler Retail to create monthly in-store and event promotions.
8. Utilize Dataworks to analyze and provide monthly sales re-caps.

SALES LEAD

Responsible for leading and modeling the Hospitality by D.E.S.I.G.N. service expectations for Kohler, Wisconsin. Work with other Shops and departments to create luxury guest experiences and facilitate smooth functioning of the Kohler Retail Shops.
1. Sales: greet guests, determine needs, work with customers, share product knowledge, upsell as appropriate, take customer special orders, answer phone etc.
2. Be knowledgeable about and able to promote the Destination Kohler Resort and the Village of Kohler: van service, directions, restaurants and menus, hours of operation etc.
3. Cashiering: opening and closing of register, ringing sales (cash, credit card, gift certificate, room charges etc.), processing coupons, discounts, markdowns, end-of-day reports and gift boxing.
4. Knowledgeable in basics of the ResortSuite point of sale software system, familiar with Dataworks inventory reports, participate in and prepare for annual inventory.
5. Capable of selling and completing Gift Card transactions.

This is a full-time position working weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 6:00 am - 10:00pm.
