Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion, MI on a full-time basis.

The Role:
The Training Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of all training activities tied to vehicle program launches. You will partner closely with Body, Paint, and GA engineering, production, plant staff, HR, and external training providers to prepare team members for new product and process introductions. As the central point of contact for launch training, you'll align execution with program timing, manage budgets, and ensure full compliance with GM's Launch Training Plan standards.

What You'll Do:
Provide a launch training implementation cost forecast and track actuals vs. budget.
Execute training per the Launch Training Plan, utilizing GM process tools (e.g., TTRP, eSAP).
Review content and cost with OEM and third-party training suppliers.
Write eSAP shopping carts, process POs, and monitor spending to budget.
Build and maintain the comprehensive training schedule based on program milestones.
Develop and roll out a communications plan to notify leaders of upcoming classes.
Coordinate requirements for instructors, rooms (on- and off-site), materials, and special needs.
Ensure classrooms are set up, materials and visual aids are in place, and attendance/deficiency records are maintained.
Maintain a centralized launch training information repository.
Develop and present launch training summary reports (actual vs. plan metrics, lessons learned).
Draft and update the Training Master Dot at wall reviews.
Facilitate funding reviews with PLOM, Finance, and program management.
Convene planning meetings with departmental reps to validate training plans and address content or delivery issues.
Engage SMEs to review and validate training materials; evaluate training quality via surveys, interviews, and course evaluations.
Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver classes, stop training activities if quality standards aren't met.


Required Qualifications:

2-3 years in a corporate or plant-based training department
5+ years supervising in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proven cross-functional collaboration (Body, Paint, GA, HR, engineering, production)
Proactive, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Familiarity with Launch Training Plan process and tools (TTRP, eSAP)
Budget-management experience, including PO processing and cost tracking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting to leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
