This position is responsible for leading the hotel's training strategy while serving as a key member of the Human Resources team. The HR Manager will design, facilitate, and track training programs that support departmental performance, compliance requirements, leadership development, guest service excellence, and Hilton brand initiatives. A significant focus of the role is coaching leaders and team members on Hilton's Guest Recovery models, service culture, and guest engagement practices to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
Beyond training, the HR Manager provides broad Human Resources support and serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members. The role partners closely with department heads to ensure consistency in onboarding, performance management, policy compliance, team member engagement, succession planning, and organizational development. The ideal candidate combines a passion for developing people with strong HR knowledge and a commitment to creating an exceptional workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Training & Development (Primary Focus)
  • Lead the hotel's Training & Development strategy and annual learning plan.
  • Facilitate New Team Member Orientation, leadership development, compliance training, and departmental learning programs.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and develop solutions that improve operational performance.
  • Drive hotel-wide service excellence initiatives focused on guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Train and coach leaders and team members on Hilton's Guest Recovery models and service recovery best practices.
  • Design and deliver engaging learning experiences that support leadership development and succession planning.
  • Conduct training audits and monitor completion of required certifications and compliance programs.
  • Track training metrics and analyze results to continuously improve learning effectiveness.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with company, legal, and brand requirements.
Human Resources Generalist Support
  • Assist with employee relations, investigations, coaching, corrective action guidance, and policy interpretation.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders on performance management and career development.
  • Assist with engagement, recognition, and culture-building programs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace aligned with Hilton's values and culture.
  • Support HR compliance efforts, including required training, policy communication, and documentation management.
Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to leaders across the hotel.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of Human Resources, Training, Learning & Development, or hospitality leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management, and training principles.
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Hilton experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience delivering leadership development and service excellence training.
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and instructional design.
  • Experience in union and non-union environments preferred.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
