Job description

Overview

From the high school athlete who tears an ACL to the retiree who needs a knee replacement, Ortho Central is here for each and every one of our patients. Our expert team includes SEVEN orthopedic surgeons, two sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists. Ortho Central has three convenient locations in central Oklahoma: Midwest City, Tri City, and our office in Norman. Our skilled providers can evaluate and treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors required, Masters preferred

Experience

  • Strong understanding of challenges athletes face, proper nutrition, sports injuries, and treatment options. Understanding of first-aid treatments, massage, and physical therapy techniques and equipment. Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills.
  • Prefer at least 5 years of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care.
  • Experience working in conjunction with orthopedic/sports medicine physicians.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

  • Oklahoma State license or Board eligible with Temporary Letter for Athletic Trainer is required, Must have NATABOC certification, (BLS) Basic Life Support (CPR) must be kept current during tenure with Norman Regional Health System.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.

Compensation/Benefits

  • $23.79-$38.86/hr depending on previous work experience.
