POSITION SUMMARY:

Kanner & Pintaluga is looking for a skilled and dedicated attorney with significant experience in first-party homeowner property claims to join our growing Texas team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully representing homeowners against insurance companies in a variety of disputes, including but not limited to, claims involving hail damage, wind damage, fire, water, and other perils. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, litigate complex issues, and advocate for the rights of homeowners throughout Texas.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Full-time
  • 2+ years of litigation experience - First Party Property Damage experience is a plus
  • Member of the Texas Bar and in good standing
  • Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from inception to resolution.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration.
  • Represent clients in court, including trials and hearings, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and clear explanations of legal strategies.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
  • Stay abreast of developments in Texas insurance law and property claims.
