Position Overview:

This position is 75% roof work, and troubleshooting and 25% electrical

You will work alongside other Solar Service Technicians to learn the Green Ridge culture and workmanship. Once fully trained, you will be troubleshooting customer sites, working on AC & DC side solar equipment, batteries, and generators. Must be comfortable with being on a roof, removing and reinstalling solar panels in a safe manor. Green Ridge is looking for a motivated hard working individual, who takes pride in their work, and can provide an excellent customer experience.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Comprehensive understanding of SolarEdge systems including Inverters, batteries, switchgear, and software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Enphase microinverter systems, batteries, and switchgear. 
  • Complete understanding of Solar layout, sizing, TSRF, and other terminology. 
  • Develop Company preferred flashings and roof penetrations methods, and best installation practices.
  • Responsible for understanding solar system operation, commissioning, and troubleshooting in the field.
  • Traveling to sites across Oregon and Washington, and comfortable with overnight stays.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to manage customers and schedules.
  • Strive to document work, including noting, taking and uploading photos, and communicating with office and customer. 
  • Thorough knowledge of fall protection and OHSA10 standards.
  • Comfortable working in DC and AC (equipment side) environments. SolarEdge and Enphase certified is preferred.

Requirements:

Core Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 Years of solar experience.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Physically able to lift heavy objects up to 75lbs, climb ladders, and operate on roofs.
  • LRT or Journeyman License is preferred but not required.
  • Posses basic electrician tools.
