Job description

Position Summary:

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes within the solar panel production facility. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, product quality, process stability, and cost reduction while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for solar panel production.
  • Monitor and analyze production performance to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and defects.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation.
  • Establish and maintain process parameters, work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, and manufacturing line setups.
  • Analyze yield, scrap, cycle time, and other manufacturing KPIs to improve operational performance.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives focused on waste reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Support automation projects and process control improvements where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and workflow optimization activities.
  • Train production personnel on process changes, procedures, and best manufacturing practices.
  • Assist in equipment qualification, installation, and process commissioning activities.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering field required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in solar panel manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or automated manufacturing preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and process optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with automation systems, PLCs, and manufacturing equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of process validation and documentation control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, and engineering software tools.
