Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and basic clinical equipment is typically expected, while BLS/CPR certification is often required. As a Trainee RN, you will typically participate in a structured orientation program that combines classroom learning, hands-on clinical experience, and one-on-one mentorship with experienced nurses. This period is designed to help you transition from nursing school to real-world patient care, offering guidance on hospital protocols, electronic health record systems, and teamwork within multidisciplinary units. A sign-on bonus is a financial incentive offered by employers to attract qualified candidates, and it is typically paid out after the nurse accepts and begins the position. This bonus can vary in amount and may have requirements such as committing to work for the employer for a certain period.
