Job description

JOB SUMMARY
This position plays an important role in supporting the efficient operation of the distribution center. Team members in this role may perform a variety of warehouse functions including receiving, inventory handling, order picking, packing, shipping, and general material movement.
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists, RF scanners, or other warehouse management system tools while meeting established productivity and quality standards.
  • Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring products are properly packaged, labeled, and staged for carrier pickup to prevent damage and ensure accurate delivery to customers.
  • Perform quality inspections on picked and packed orders to verify correct items, quantities, and packaging prior to shipment.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments from trucks and other transport vehicles while ensuring proper handling and placement of products.
  • Assist with receiving activities including verifying incoming shipments, unloading product, inspecting for damage, and accurately stocking inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Support inventory control processes including cycle counts, stock checks, and maintaining accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas, ensuring product is stored properly and aisles, docks, and work areas remain clean, safe, and accessible.
  • Maintain the physical condition of warehouse equipment by performing routine checks and promptly reporting maintenance issues or operational concerns.
  • Follow all warehouse operating procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies while actively identifying and reporting potential safety hazards, equipment issues, or process improvements to supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping, receiving, and operational goals.
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment preferred; certification may be required for certain roles.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, inventory counts, and shipment preparation.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer or RF scanner experience preferred for order picking, packing, and inventory transactions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, pivot/twist, climbing, kneeling, balance.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. OCCASIONAL, and push and pull at least 25 lbs. of force OCCASIONAL.

Work activities occur in an inside workspace where extreme heat and may occur. May be exposed to outside while walking into trailers. Work conditions may include drafts.
