Job description

The Warehouse Operations Trainer is responsible for delivering structured, end-to-end training across warehouse functions including Inbound, Outbound, Picking, Value-Added Services (VAS), and Inventory processes. This role ensures employees are trained through a structured methodology - Train Hands-On Practice Verify Validate - to achieve safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Trainer partners with Operations to drive consistent process execution and continuous improvement.
Let's talk about Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver structured training programs covering inbound receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, VAS tasks, and inventory control.
  • Execute hands-on-floor training including WMS/RF scanning and material handling equipment guidance.
  • Demonstrate full end-to-end warehouse workflows from receipt to shipment.
  • Verify employee competency through skills assessments, productivity tracking, and quality audits.
  • Validate sustained performance through follow-up evaluations (30/60/90-day reviews).
  • Maintain training documentation, certification records, and SOP updates.
  • Support new hire onboarding, cross-training, refresher training, and new process rollouts.
  • Always reinforce safety standards and operational compliance.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years warehouse operations experience (Inbound, Outbound, Picking, Inventory).
  • 2+ year experience in training, coaching, or lead role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA familiarity preferred).
