Position Overview

Fresh Start Mental Health Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role focuses primarily on providing cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) within our innovative outpatient clinic framework. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in therapy practices, with proven experience helping patients overcome challenges related to insomnia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct therapy sessions utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques specifically designed for insomnia treatment, ensuring each patient receives individualized attention and care.
  • Review and analyze patient intake notes, initial self-report questionnaires, and sleep diaries to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' progress over the course of therapy, documenting findings and treatment adjustments in our e-medical records system.
  • Engage in regular communication with patients to address clinical concerns, administrative questions, and therapeutic progress, fostering a supportive rapport.
  • Collaborate with team members to share insights and strategies that enhance the therapeutic process and patient outcomes.
  • Perform other professional duties as assigned to contribute to the clinicโ€™s goals and patient satisfaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on clients struggling with insomnia and other sleep-related issues. You will work with a diverse population, ranging from young adults to older individuals, who are seeking effective therapy solutions to improve their quality of life. Each patient brings unique challenges, requiring you to tailor your therapeutic approach to meet their specific needs, thereby playing a crucial role in their journey toward improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 3 years of documented experience working directly with patients experiencing insomnia or sleep disorders.
  • Proficient in using technology for documentation and communication, including electronic medical records, word processing, spreadsheets, and email systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Background or additional training in cognitive-behavioral therapy specifically for insomnia.
  • Experience with teletherapy and familiarity with virtual platforms for client engagement.
  • Knowledge of contemporary treatment modalities for sleep disorders and mental health.
Compensation and Benefits
