Job description

Job Summary: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for providing safe, high-quality anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. This includes conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, developing anesthesia plans, administering anesthesia, monitoring intraoperative status, and ensuring safe recovery and postoperative pain management.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia patient assessments, including medical history, risk factors, and diagnostic results.
  • Develop individualized anesthesia care plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Administer general, regional, local, or monitored anesthesia care (MAC) as clinically appropriate.
  • Manage airway, ventilation, hemodynamics, and patient stability throughout procedures.
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust anesthesia as needed.
  • Identify, respond to, and manage anesthesia-related complications or emergencies.
  • Oversee patient emergence from anesthesia and transfer to PACU or recovery area.
  • Provide postoperative pain management and clinical guidance as needed.
  • Accurately document all anesthesia care in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
  • Maintain compliance with CMS, TJC, OSHA, and state nursing board regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance, patient safety initiatives, and performance improvement activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and ASC leadership to support clinical workflow.
Required Skills / Abilities:

Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
  • Current, active RN license.
  • Current CRNA certification through NBCRNA.
  • Current BLS and ACLS (PALS preferred if applicable).
  • Experience providing anesthesia in surgical, procedural, or ASC settings preferre
