     Job Overview: We are looking for a motivated Machine Operator Trainee to join our in-house manufacturing team in Fremont, CA. This is a direct-hire, active, hands-on role designed to help you build a career directly with us. You will partner with our experienced Machine Operators, supporting them with material preparation while receiving direct training to become a skilled, independent Operator yourself.
  • Position: Machine Operator Trainee / Operator Assistant
  • Location: Fremont, CA (In-house, on-site role. Must be local; no relocation assistance provided)
  • Supervisor: Manufacturing Operations Manager
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 / hour
  • Shift: Early morning starts (e.g., 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, or 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday)
Key Responsibilities

Material Prep & Staging

  • Break down incoming shipments, rolls, and boxes so our production lines can run smoothly.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks to label, organize, and stage raw materials for immediate use by our operators.
Operator & Machinery Support

  • Partner with our senior operators to load raw materials and over-laminates onto the machines.
  • Assist with equipment setup, material changeovers, and basic machinery adjustments.
  • Get hands-on training on the safe operation of our laminating, chopping, punch press, and other production equipment.
Quality, Packaging & Maintenance

  • Perform packaging and assembly duties to help the team meet daily production goals.
  • Help us maintain our high-quality standards by conducting in-process inspections and monitoring parts.
  • Keep our workspace clean and safe (meeting ISO standards), ensuring scrap and waste are cleared to prevent downtime.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, mechanical/electromechanical assembly, or general labor is highly preferred.
  • Skills: You are mechanically inclined, comfortable with basic measurements, have neat handwriting, and can easily follow work instructions. Familiarity with an ISO environment is a plus.
  • Mindset: You are highly motivated, proactive, and looking for a company where you can learn a trade and grow long-term.
  • Reliability: You are dependable and have the flexibility to match our early-morning production schedules.
  • Location Requirement: You must be local to the Fremont, CA area. This is a 100% on-site, in-house position and we do not offer relocation assistance.
  • Physical Demands: You must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and remain active (standing, walking, bending) for 90% to 100% of your shift.
