As a Part-Time Trainee MFT or CSW at Advent Group Ministries, you can expect a structured yet flexible day-to-day schedule that enriches your learning experience. Your typical workweek will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing ample time to immerse yourself in essential tasks. On a daily basis, you will assist in client intake assessments, participate in group therapy sessions, and observe clinical practices under the supervision of licensed professionals.

You may also engage in case documentation and participate in team meetings that focus on service improvement and program development. Expect to collaborate with a diverse team, attend training workshops, and engage in community outreach initiatives. This hands-on experience not only builds your competency but also enhances your understanding of the vital role social work plays within our faith-based organization.

To excel in the Part-Time Trainee MFT or CSW position at Advent Group Ministries, several essential skills and commitments are required. First and foremost, you should possess strong communication abilities to effectively counsel individuals, couples, families, and groups. A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards is imperative.

You will need to manage your time effectively, committing five to ten hours weekly, which includes supervision, staff meetings, and training sessions. Participation in weekly group supervision meetings on Wednesdays is a key requirement for your growth and development. Familiarity with the DSM V will be necessary for case presentations, as well as proficiency in maintaining client records and documenting counseling sessions.

Demonstrating initiative by providing at least one hour of in-service training on a clinical topic during your internship will contribute to your professional development. Additionally, effective collaboration with treatment staff and a commitment to a minimum of twelve months enhance the overall team dynamic.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• 1) Complete Advent Group Ministries' application.
• 2) Commit to five to ten hours weekly
• including at least one evening per week
• two hours of supervision
• one hour of staff meeting and one hour of training per week.
• 3) Commit to a minimum of twelve months.
• 4) Attend weekly group supervision meetings on Wednesdays.
• 5) Commit to counsel individuals

• 6) Provide at least one hour in-service training on a clinical topic during the year.
• 7) Maintain client records
• including periodic taping of counseling sessions.
• 8) Abide by rules of confidentiality

• 11) Submit a minimum of two months written notice prior to termination.
• V. ADVENT PROVISIONS:
