Production Assembler
Job Summary:
LION is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Assembler to support the assembly of electro-mechanical products training products. In this role, you will build and test components using hand tools, electronic tools, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate has both mechanical and electronics assembly experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Position Details:
Location: 20 Corporate Circle, Albany, NY, 12203
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Starting Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Essential Functions:
  • Build LION Safety Solutions core products by following training and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Core Products include: ITS, BullsEye, SmokeGenerators, Attack, etc.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Fill out build sheets, product defect sheets and hourly tracking sheets
  • Turn in Kanban cards to receiving clerk to ensure no material shortages

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support cycle counting in area
  • Support process and product improvement initiatives
  • Keep area clean during and at the end of shift
  • Other duties as needed.

Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED minimum
  • Mechanical assembly experience (including piping)
  • Electronics assembly experience (soldering, wire harness assembly, wiring components)
