Job description

Job Description One Tech Engineering is searching for a Mechanical Engineer for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota or Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Mechanical Engineer will support capital projects at wind farms across the region by managing a portfolio of approximately a dozen projects per year and overseeing the end-to-end project lifecycle at wind facilities. The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and 3+ years of related experience. Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities: Plan and schedule capital projects at wind farms. Order equipment and manage contractors.

Coordinate with site Operations & Maintenance teams. Perform limited R&D to select optimal equipment. Manage a multiyear project portfolio with budgeting and forecasting.

Ensure quality, schedule adherence, and cost control. Travel during construction windows to oversee installations. Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).

3-7 years of relevant experience. Previous project management experience. Prior experience in renewable energy, preferably wind, is preferred.

Exposure to solar, hydro, or battery storage projects is a plus. Strong communication skills. PMP certification or PE license is preferred.
