Position: Mechanical/HVAC Engineer II
Location: Akron, Ohio

Position Overview
Seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer II with strong industrial HVAC design experience to support engineering projects across chemical, manufacturing, and industrial facilities. This role involves end-to-end HVAC system design, fieldwork, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead HVAC engineering and design for assigned industrial projects
  • Design HVAC systems, process ventilation, and pressurization for hazardous environments
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations and equipment sizing
  • Prepare system layouts, technical drawings, and equipment specifications
  • Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements
  • Develop cost estimates across project phases
  • Conduct field visits and verify design drawings
  • Coordinate with clients and cross-functional engineering teams

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Dust collection system design
  • Plumbing systems (water, wastewater, stormwater)
  • Fire protection system planning

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5-10 years of HVAC design experience (industrial preferred)
  • EIT certification required; working toward PE (PE preferred)
  • Knowledge of NFPA, ASHRAE, and OSHA standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit/Navisworks a plus)
