Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Data Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting operations, and business decision-making through data analysis and insights. This role will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, and operational teams to analyze financial data, create reporting solutions, improve processes, and identify trends that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret financial and accounting data from ERP, accounting, and business systems.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards, KPIs, and management reports.
  • Analyze financial results, trends, variances, and operational metrics.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes.
  • Reconcile data between multiple systems and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Identify anomalies, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Create ad hoc reports and analyses for Accounting and Finance leadership.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to streamline reporting and improve data integrity.
  • Assist with audit requests, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, reporting, or data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Proficiency in SQL and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, CMA, or pursuit of professional certification.
  • Experience with data modeling and financial forecasting.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Experience using Python, R, or advanced analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments
Pay Details: $52,000.00 to $59,000.00 per hour
