Job Summary

Are you looking to jumpstart a lucrative career in the oil and gas industry with a company that actively invests in your professional growth? We are seeking hard-working, mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as Entry-Level / Trainee Field Service Technicians.

In this role, you will train directly alongside senior technicians to master the mobilization, installation, and maintenance of specialized surface rental equipment (including manual/automated chokes, mud/gas separators, and flare stacks) on active drilling sites across the Permian Basin.

We provide complete hands-on technical training. Once you master the fundamentals and meet company qualification requirements, you will immediately unlock a structured career path to become a Level I or Level II Technician, raising your earning potential to $21.00 โ€“ $25.00 / hour.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Learn & Do)
  • Equipment Rig-Up Assistance: Learn to properly assemble, rig up, and rig down specialized rental tools, flowlines, manifolds, and surface equipment on drilling locations.

  • Pressure Testing Support: Assist senior crew members in setting up and safely executing hydrostatic pressure testing to ensure total system integrity before drilling begins.

  • Tool Handling & Maintenance: Use basic hand and power tools to clean, maintain, and prep equipment (chokes, valves, separators, and flare stacks) for operation.

  • Safety Observation & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols, wear proper PPE, participate in daily safety meetings (JSAs), and look out for your crew members.

  • Field Adaptability: Embrace a true "Road Warrior" schedule, adapting to a 12-hour field rotation that includes working days, nights, weekends, and holidays in extreme West Texas weather environments.

Technical Progression & Career Pathway

We don't want you to stay a Trainee forever. We track your progress through a clear, skill-based tiered progression:

  1. Trainee ($18.00 - $20.00/hr): Learn the equipment mechanics, safety perimeter rules, line configurations, and master basic tool operations.

  2. Level I Technician ($21.00 - $23.00/hr): Master independent rig-up, basic troubleshooting, manual choke operations, and standard hydrostatic pressure verification.

  3. Level II Technician ($23.00 - $25.00/hr): Gain advanced technical independence, learn to calibrate automated choke control systems, manage high-pressure testing boundaries, and begin mentoring new trainees.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: No prior oilfield experience is required! A background in mechanical trades, construction, landscaping, farming/ranching, or military service is highly valued.

  • Driving Record (Mandatory): Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record to safely operate the provided company field vehicle.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for long hours, and work efficiently in harsh, outdoor field environments.

  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work alternating shifts (days/nights), overtime hours, and handle a demanding, fast-paced field schedule.

  • Attributes: Strong problem-solving mindset, punctuality, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn complex mechanical systems.

What We Offer
  • Paid, comprehensive training program from day one.

  • $40.00 Daily Per Diem to cover field expenses.

  • Dedicated Company Truck and specialized field tooling.

  • Regular, built-in overtime opportunities.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.

  • Clear, documented blueprint to advance your title and increase your hourly pay.
