⚠️ Important: This position begins as a part-time paid training opportunity at $25/hour and may start with as few as 1-3 classes per week. Please make sure that your schedule is flexible and the commute is reasonable to justify this before applying.


Additional classes, responsibilities, and advancement opportunities become available based on performance, student demand, and successful completion of the trainee program.

Monday–Friday

12:00 PM – 8:30 PM


Option B

Monday–Friday

8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

4:00 PM – 8:30 PM


Option C

Tuesday & Thursday

8:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Saturday & Sunday

9:00 AM – 6:00 PM


About The Language School


The Language School is one of Denver's fastest-growing adult language schools in Denver.  We specialize in helping Spanish-speaking adults build confidence communicating in English through conversation-based instruction.


Since reopening our physical location, student demand has grown rapidly and we are now expanding our teaching and leadership team.


We are seeking a Full-Time Lead Teacher Trainee who wants more than a teaching job.


This position is designed for someone who wants to grow into a leadership role and help build one of the leading adult language schools in Colorado.

90-Day Lead Teacher Trainee Program


All candidates begin as Lead Teacher Trainees.  You may start with as few as 1-3 classes and be compensated at $25/hour during the training period.  Please make sure your commute and schedule will allow you to start with as little as 1 class per week.  Additional classes will be available depending on student demand.


The first 90 days are designed to ensure a strong fit for both the teacher and the school.


To successfully complete the trainee period, teachers must demonstrate:

βœ… Strong professionalism and communication

βœ… Ability to learn and implement The Language School methodology

βœ… Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision

βœ… Minimum 80% student retention


Successful trainees may be offered a Full-Time Lead Teacher position as student demand, scheduling needs, and organizational growth allow.


The Language School reserves the right to end employment during or after the trainee period if performance expectations are not met.


Responsibilities
Teaching
  • Teach small-group adult ESL and/or Spanish classes
  • Lead conversation-based lessons
  • Follow The Language School curriculum and methodology
  • Create a positive classroom environment
  • Support student confidence and participation
Student Success
  • Conduct student evaluations and enrollments
  • Support student onboarding
  • Assist with retention and student success initiatives
  • Review student homework and participation
Operations
  • Assist with office management
  • Support customer service and scheduling
  • Help maintain classroom quality standards
  • Serve as emergency class coverage when needed
Curriculum & Leadership
  • Participate in Agile Curriculum Development
  • Assist with training and mentoring future teachers
  • Support classroom observations and quality control
  • Develop leadership skills for future advancement opportunities
