Packaging & Visual Merchandising Designer Location: Los Angeles, CA (3 days onsite near Thousand Oaks, CA) Compensation: Temp to perm, Starting at $40hr (w2, eligible for benefits while temp!) or around $80,000 if it moves to PERM This team is looking for an associate to mid level designer, someone to grow within their skills. Candidates must have experience with IP and creating designs with IP. A fast-growing beauty and consumer products company is seeking a Packaging & Visual Merchandising Designer to create compelling packaging, print, and retail experiences that bring products to life across multiple channels. This role is ideal for a creative designer with experience a few years experience in consumer products, including the development of licensed and IP-driven packaging programs. The ideal candidate understands how to interpret brand guidelines, licensed property requirements, and visual standards while creating innovative consumer-facing designs. Required Prior Experience: • Design packaging concepts and production-ready artwork for beauty and consumer products. • Develop visual merchandising assets for retail displays, product launches, events, and promotional campaigns. • Develop packaging and merchandising assets for licensed collaborations, character-driven collections, and other IP-based product launches. Key Responsibilities • Create print-ready files including cartons, labels, inserts, PR mailers, signage, and marketing collateral. • Partner with marketing, product development, production, and creative teams to execute projects from concept through launch. • Prepare and review dielines, mechanicals, and final production files. • Ensure all creative work aligns with brand standards, timelines, and production requirements. • Contribute fresh ideas for seasonal launches, product collections, and retail activations. Qualifications • 3 years of experience in packaging, print, and visual merchandising design. • Background in beauty, cosmetics, fashion, or consumer products preferred. • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). • Strong understanding of print production, packaging construction, dielines, and file preparation. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Portfolio demonstrating packaging design, print collateral, and retail merchandising work.
