A CNC Router Operator sets up, programs, and runs computer numerical control machines to cut, shape, and drill materials like wood, plastic, and composites. They interpret blueprints, load raw materials, manage tooling, and perform quality checks to produce precision parts while strictly adhering to safety and maintenance protocols.
Core Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup: Calibrate routers, install correct cutting tools (bits), and secure raw materials to the machine bed.
  • Programming & Operation: Load or input CAD/CAM designs, execute routing commands, and adjust feeds and speeds to ensure optimal cuts.
