Position Summary

As a Part-Time On-Call Aviation Security Agent, you will provide coverage for regular security staff at St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) as needed. This role requires flexible availability to fill in for scheduled agents and perform a variety of security functions, including:

  • Aircraft Access Control: Monitor the jet bridge and ensure only authorized personnel board the aircraft while on the ground.
  • Aircraft Ramp Access Control: Conduct security inspections on the ramp and ensure only authorized personnel access the aircraft while it is on the ground.
  • Aircraft Search: Conduct thorough searches inside aircraft to ensure compliance with company and federal security regulations.
  • Catering Security: Inspect catering kitchens, vehicles, and equipment to ensure safe transport of food and supplies to aircraft.
  • Charter Screening Security: Screen passengers on professional and collegiate sports charters according to current TSA guidelines.

Note: This role requires Airport Badging and a 10-year criminal history background check. Applicants with felony convictions or outstanding warrants are ineligible.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of security experience required (airport security experience preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand English
  • Must pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams
  • Reliable transportation to and from the airport
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship required upon hire
  • Clean driving record

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Must be comfortable performing security pat-downs and inspections
  • Ability to stand, walk, and be alert for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as required to fill in for regular security agents

Dress Code

Employees must maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times:

  • Company-issued security vest and uniform shirt provided
  • Black slacks required (no jeans permitted)
  • Black comfortable, closed-toe shoes required (sneakers acceptable)
  • No visible tattoos that cannot be fully covered
  • Minimal jewelry; hair neat and professional
  • Airport security badge must be visibly displayed at all times
