A growing technology and defense-focused engineering organization is seeking an RF / Digital Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and integration of advanced electronic systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge RF, microwave, digital, and embedded technologies in a collaborative engineering environment.
Position Overview
The RF / Digital Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, development, and testing of RF and digital electronic circuits and systems. The role requires a hands-on engineer who can take products from concept through prototype, test, and production while supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and develop RF, microwave, and digital electronic circuits and subsystems.
  • Perform circuit modeling, simulation, optimization, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Support hardware integration, breadboard development, debugging, and verification testing.
  • Plan and execute laboratory testing, evaluate performance results, and implement design improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering technicians, designers, and cross-functional teams throughout product development.
  • Assist with component selection, specialized test equipment procurement, and engineering evaluations.
  • Generate technical reports, specifications, and supporting engineering documentation.
  • Contribute to proposal efforts, technical bids, and customer-driven development projects.
  • Utilize computer-aided engineering (CAE) and simulation tools to support product design and analysis.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in RF, microwave, digital, or embedded systems engineering.
  • Experience designing, developing, analyzing, and testing electronic hardware and systems.
  • Strong understanding of RF and microwave circuit design principles.
  • Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, tuning, optimization, and performance validation.
  • Knowledge of amplifier design using packaged components and/or bare die technologies.
  • Experience with embedded hardware and software development.
  • Proficiency in C and/or C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Experience working with Microchip PIC microcontrollers or similar embedded platforms.
  • FPGA development experience using Verilog and/or VHDL.
  • Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA devices and associated development tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, laboratory testing, and system integration skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing products for aerospace, defense, communications, radar, or similar high-reliability industries.
  • Experience with mixed-signal electronics and embedded system integration.
  • Knowledge of RF testing equipment, signal analysis, and system-level debugging.
  • Experience supporting products from concept through production release.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
