Job description

General Summary

Conducts community life support training programs on an "as needed" basis.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Licenses:

  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
  • Certified BLS Instructor Upon Hire Required or
  • ACLS Instructor Certification Upon Hire Required or
  • Ped Adv Life Support Instructor Upon Hire Required

Driver's License Statement:

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

  • Facilitates the delivery of American Heart Association (AHA) life support education programs.
  • Adheres to all AHA guidelines.
  • Ensures accurate record control.
  • Maintains appropriate credentialing for educational role.
  • Uses feedback from program evaluation mechanisms to improve performance.
  • Fulfills annual minimum scheduling requirements.

Common Expectations:

  • Provides coaching, feedback, and mentorship to class participants.
  • Completes and submits course records and rosters accurately and on time. Retains/transfers documents per Training Center procedures and PAM recordkeeping requirements.
  • Takes responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of education facilities and properly maintains department equipment.
  • Maintains open communication with Training Center Coordinator and appointed Training Center Faculty.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Travel Requirements:

  • Estimated Amount: 50% - Travel required
