JOB TITLE: Structural Mechanic Trainee
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $20.24/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • This entry-level role provides hands-on training in aircraft manufacturing and service processes.

  • Working in a team environment under direct supervision, the individual will perform various structural assembly operations while developing technical skills.

  • Perform basic fitting of detail parts, drilling, and riveting using hand and pneumatic tools (drills, rivet guns, countersinks, reamers, files, etc.)

  • Ensure parts and assemblies meet instructions from assigned manufacturing personnel or Quality Control Inspector

  • Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to determine operation sequences

  • Align and assemble parts using fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners

  • Observe and assist experienced staff, gradually working with decreasing supervision as skills develop

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred

  • Ability to read scales and perform basic shop math

  • Strong reading comprehension and document-following skills

  • Hands-on aptitude, attention to detail, professionalism, teamwork, and ability to meet schedules

  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety practices

  • Proficiency with basic computer software

  • Availability to work any shift

  • Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
