GP Strategies Government Solutions has an immediate need for an Aircraft F-35 Quality Instructor to support a large aerospace client in Fort Worth, TX. We are seeking candidates who are able to conduct training covering a broad range of aviation subject matter. This is a full-time, regular, benefitted position.
Job Summary:
  • Conducts and performs training or solutions using the appropriate medium and method (classroom, computer-based training [CBT], distance learning, simulations, on-the-job [OJT], coaching, job-aids) to satisfy business needs and requirements.
  • Assesses and tests the competence of employees in performing tasks requiring certification or qualification to comply with government and organizational standards and specifications.
  • Expert in navigating technical documents related to manufacturing / repair documents and/or blueprints (detail, assembly or installation drawings).
  • Confers with management/client to understand work situation.
  • Delivers training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty.
  • Evaluates training programs and reports on trainee progress.
  • Maintains training programs and materials.
  • Prepare training areas to be teach ready

Requirements:
• Hands-on aircraft maintenance and/or production work on the F-35
• Experience as a quality inspector or quality assurance in an aircraft maintenance/production environment
• Extensive knowledge in Foreign Object Damage prevention programs/procedures
• Extensive knowledge of Tool Control/Consumable Control procedures in an aircraft maintenance/production environment
• Able to work a flexible schedule across all three shifts, as needed, to meet demand
• Experience in reading and interpreting aircraft engineering drawings, process specifications and electronic work instructions
• Understanding of aerospace industry/government standards (AS9100, AS9146, NAS 412, DCMA Instruction 8210.1)
• Candidate will possess at least two years instructional delivery experience including classroom lecturing and/or coaching/mentoring students in a skills-based lab or detailed On-The-Job (OJT) training environment
• Presentation skills or training/teaching background/experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is a plus and will be taken into consideration when looking at experience
• Experience as an aircraft manufacturing instructor with formal training certifications (Master Training Course, Train-The-Trainer, etc.)
• Previous personnel management or leadership experience in an aircraft maintenance or production environment
• Military aviation maintenance and aircraft production experience
• Experience using Shop Floor Management (SFM) software in an aircraft production environment
• Capable of writing, editing, and producing materials for technical instruction; providing assistance and support to production operations by helping determine training needs; and delivering effective training
