Position Overview

As an HVAC Installation Technician Trainee, you will work alongside experienced installers while learning how to install residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. Through daily hands-on experience, you will develop the skills needed to complete quality installations while maintaining a safe and professional job site.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist with installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini split systems, and indoor air quality equipment

  • Help install duct systems, refrigerant piping, gas lines, venting, and electrical components

  • Prepare tools, equipment, and materials before each installation

  • Load and unload equipment safely at job sites

  • Assist with equipment startup, operational testing, and final system checks

  • Learn proper installation methods, manufacturer requirements, and company quality standards

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout each project

  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and fellow team members

  • Follow company safety procedures and job site expectations

  • Participate in ongoing training to expand technical knowledge and installation skills

Qualifications
