What is a train server?

Train servers are employees who work on passenger trains, providing food and beverage service to travelers. They take orders, serve meals and drinks, and ensure passengers have a comfortable dining experience while on board. Train servers may also be responsible for setting up dining areas, handling payments, and maintaining cleanliness. Their goal is to deliver high-quality customer service in the unique environment of a moving train.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a train server?

To thrive as a Train Server, you need excellent customer service skills, basic food handling knowledge, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, food safety certifications, and inventory management tools is typically required.
