Job Description The Operations Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. This position leads and develops facility personnel, promotes safety and environmental excellence, oversees production, logistics, and inventory processes, and maintains strong customer service. The Manager utilizes data-driven insights to support forecasting, cost management, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives while identifying capital investments that improve productivity, quality, and customer experience.  JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Lead and direct the activities of facility personnel. Hire, train, develop, and provide leadership to facility employees to meet operational needs. Develop, lead, and administer an effective and proactive process to provide a safe working environment for all associates in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and company requirements. Develop, lead, and administer an effective and proactive program to prevent environmental incidents and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and company requirements. Ensure service and equity of grades is provided to both internal and external customers. Administer an effective Inventory Control Program to maintain the quality and quantity of inventory handled at the facility. Ensure compliance with USDA Warehousing, FDA regulations, and company requirements. Ensure routine and preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment to maximize availability, operating efficiency, and longevity. Identify opportunities, synergies, and improvements to increase facility operating effectiveness and reduce operating costs. Develop capital plans and execute individual capital projects according to plan. Coordinate with grain merchandising to ensure positive customer relationships and effective planning for timely and least-cost movement of grain. Monitor facility operations and utilize data-driven information to support forecasting, planning, cost management, and annual budgeting. Champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout facility operations. Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor. Job Requirements MINIMUM EDUCATION  Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Business, or a related field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, 5–7 years of manufacturing or warehousing experience will be accepted. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS  3–5 years of related experience. 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
