The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for an Automotive Corporate Controller Trainer. With over 90 years of success, Napleton’s tenured accounting leadership has decades of experience! This important role offers an exciting opportunity to support our current leadership and to grow our future accounting leadership talent.

This role can be based on one of following areas Napleton operates:  

Chicago, Illinois, Orlando, Florida, West Palm Beach Florida, or Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The Controller Trainer is responsible for training, developing, auditing, and assisting Napleton’s dealership accounting teams.

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is affiliated with over 25 brands of new vehicles and 50+ dealerships throughout seven states. Our strength comes from the more than 3,500 employees nationwide. We are currently one of the largest automotive groups in the country, providing incredible growth opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Train Controllers and office teams to ensure that corporate policies and procedures are being followed
  • Review and audit financial statement and accounting schedules
  • Fill in for temporary absences
  • Provide support to controllers and office staff
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of Five+ years of Dealership Controller Multi- Unit/High volume experience
  • CDK experience is required
  • Working knowledge of dealership financial statements
  • Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
  • 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
