Job description

Hiring for customer service representative candidate will work with customers to set up rental agreements for equipment, answer phones, access POS system to offer quotes on equipment, trucks, and trailers.


Qualified candidates have direct customer service work history in a similar environment, familiar with POS, comfortable with 60-80 calls per day (incoming & out going), and email proficient.

General knowledge of tools and equipment, trucks and trailers is a plus, however these attributes can be trained on site.


The full time position will be 40 hours per week.

We are primarily known for our large inventory and selection of construction, landscape, plumbing, asphalt, and all other trade equipment and small engine repair shop. Over the years we have developed our business to include many items for homeowners, landscapers, tradesmen, and many more industries. Route 12 Rental also developed a truck and trailer rental division in the early 1980's offering pick up trucks, cargo vans, 10' box trucks, 12' box trucks, 15' box trucks, 15' box trucks with hydraulic lift gates, and 4x6, 5x8, 6x12 enclosed and open trailers, along with many different sizes of trailers available for equipment both large and small. We carry over 100 different sized boxes, many sizes and lengths of bubble wrap, packaging paper, and packaging tape at competitive prices. Don't forget we fill your propane cylinders here on site, looking for a propane cylinder for your gas grill we also sell them. At Route 12 Rental we cover all of your rental needs, if we don't have the equipment on hand we do our best to pull equipment from our other location (Rentals and More, located in Round Lake IL). Over the last few years we have been developing our equipment delivery service mainly for larger equipment, call for our rates.
