As we continue to grow, we currently have an opening for a Diesel Truck and Trailer technician off-site at the ABF Truck Shop. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, mechanically inclined, Ā able to work independently, and has a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete diagnosis, repair, and general PM maintenance, and troubleshooting on heavy duty diesel.Ā Ā Come join our growing Family of Companies!Ā

SCHEDULE: 2nd shift, Monday- Friday, 3pm- 12am (plus a 10% pay differential)

A Typical Day Might Include:
Performs basic routine servicing and repairing of diesel trucks and trailers

Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.

Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

Inspect the overall condition of Trucks and trailers to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.

Compile inspection reports detailing their findings

Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.

Ensure the final work product meets quality standards

Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers

Working with customers needs for scheduling repairs.

You Have:
