Job Summary:The Design Drafter II position supports Featherlite's high-performance aluminum trailer manufacturing operation through product design, manufacturing support, continuous improvement, and accountability for quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Support trailer design, customization, and product development.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality.
• Drive manufacturability, quality, and cost improvements.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned work.
Performance Expectations:• Deliver work on schedule.
• Maintain high drawing accuracy.
• Reduce rework and production disruptions.
• Support customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement.
