Job description

Trailer Tech One specializes in custom enclosed transport trailers, lift gates, trailer repair, fabrication, and refurbishing services for the automotive industry. Utilizing advanced technology, skilled craftsmanship, and real-world driver feedback, we build and service high-performance transport solutions designed for reliability, capacity, and performance on the road.

At Trailer Tech One, we build some of the most advanced custom enclosed car haulers and hydraulic transport trailers in the industry.


We are looking for an experienced Trailer Builder / Mechanic who can build, install, troubleshoot, and service Various trailer systems including movable decks, winch systems, lift systems, and custom transport components.


This is a hands-on fabrication and mechanical position for someone who understands hydraulics, trailer systems, wiring, fabrication, and DOT-compliant trailer construction.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and assemble custom car trailers
  • Install and service:
    • Hydraulic pumps
    • Cylinders
    • Hoses and valves
    • Winch systems
    • Sliding and movable decks
    • Lift systems
    • Electrical and control systems
  • Fabricate and modify trailer components
  • Perform trailer wiring and lighting installation
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical issues
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams
  • Ensure trailers meet DOT and FMCSA safety standards
  • Perform trailer repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance
  • Work closely with the fabrication and production team to complete custom trailer builds

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with hydraulics a plus
  • Trailer building or trailer mechanic experience preferred
  • Mechanical, fabrication, and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of DOT trailer regulations and compliance
  • Experience with:
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Winches
    • Trailer wiring
    • Air brake systems
    • Welding and fabrication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • CDL is a plus but not required
