Position Overview:
Field Supervisors are our first-line leaders upholding TES's commitment safety, quality, teamwork, and service excellence. While overseeing daily field operations, our supervisors organize, direct, and support our employees, ensuring that each job and client meets jurisdictional standards and exceeds expectations. This role provides leadership to the field staff, coordinates job site activities, and serves as the primary point of contact between crews, clients, and management.
Position Duties:
  • Supervise and coordinate traffic control crews across multiple job sites
  • Inspects and directs on-site crews ensuring all work zones are up and maintained in compliance with MUTCD standards and local/state regulations
  • Conduct site inspections to verify proper placement of signage, cones, barriers, and other traffic control devices
  • Lead daily briefings and enforce company safety policies and procedures
  • Train, coach, and evaluate field employees
  • Monitor project progress and adjust staffing or equipment to meet deadlines
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, project managers, and field staff
  • Respond to and resolve on-site issues, incidents, or customer concerns
  • Complete required documentation such as daily reports, incident reports, and timesheets
  • Ensure proper use, care, and inventory of company equipment and vehicles

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Current Flagger certification
  • Current SHA MOT certification
  • Thorough knowledge of the MUTCD
  • 2-5 years of experience in traffic control, road construction, or related field
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in traffic control, preferred
  • Current Traffic Control Supervise (TCS) certification, preferred

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods of time in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry 35+ pounds
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and manual handling of traffic control equipment
