Preferred Locations: Frisco, TX, Atlanta, GA - This is Hybrid role.Technical Project Manager – Product Strategy & Technical Architecture,We’re seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of high-impact transactional experiences across our consumer app. In this role, you will sit at the center of product vision and technical execution—owning the roadmap for browsing, redemption, checkout, payments, order management, partner integrations, and fulfillment while ensuring the underlying platform is scalable, secure, reliable, and built for growth.This is an ideal opportunity for a technically fluent leader who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments and can translate business priorities into clear system-level direction. You’ll help shape architecture decisions, elevate engineering delivery, and drive exceptional customer experiences across critical transaction journeys.ResponsibilitiesOwn the product roadmap for transactional platform capabilities, including offers and redemption, marketplace and catalog, checkout and payments, order management, partner and merchant integrations, and fulfillment tracking.Translate business and customer needs into actionable technical documentation, including PRDs, API contracts, acceptance criteria, process flows, and detailed requirements that enable clear engineering execution.Partner closely with engineering leaders on technical architecture decisions, including build-versus-buy evaluations, service boundaries, event-driven design patterns, and third-party integration strategy.Lead cross-functional squads across iOS, Android, backend engineering, QA, design, and data through discovery, prioritization, sprint planning, execution, and release.Define, monitor, and improve critical platform KPIs such as API latency, transaction success rates, checkout conversion, uptime, SLA adherence, and error trends.Drive the development and stewardship of the transactional data model and event taxonomy in collaboration with Data Engineering to support accurate analytics, reporting, auditing, and privacy compliance.Manage external integrations with payment processors, loyalty or rewards providers, merchant APIs, and fulfillment partners, including API reviews, SLA alignment, and compliance considerations.Balance feature delivery with platform health by identifying technical debt, scalability risks, and reliability concerns, especially during peak events such as promotions, flash sales, and holiday traffic.Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to embed PCI-DSS, tokenization, fraud prevention, and data privacy requirements into the product lifecycle.Support incident response and operational readiness by participating in escalation processes, helping coordinate root cause analysis, and driving postmortem follow-through.Communicate technical tradeoffs, delivery risks, and architectural implications to senior stakeholders and executive leadership in clear business terms.Champion best practices such as API-first design, observability, progressive rollouts, data contracts, performance budgets, and documentation as code.Qualifications10+ years of Product Management and/or Project Management experience, including at least 2 years in a technical, platform-facing, or systems-oriented role.Demonstrated experience working directly with engineering teams on system design, architecture discussions, API definitions, and backend platform capabilities.Strong understanding of transactional and e-commerce platform fundamentals, including catalog structures, checkout flows, payment processing, order orchestration, and fraud or risk controls.Experience supporting native mobile app ecosystems and understanding how backend services power iOS and Android customer experiences.Proven ability to produce high-quality technical requirements such as PRDs, API specifications, sequence flows, and acceptance criteria with minimal ambiguity.Strong working knowledge of agile and scrum delivery practices, backlog management, sprint planning, and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.Data fluency, including comfort working with SQL, dashboards, analytics requirements, event tracking, and performance measurement.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, design, legal, finance, data, and external partners.Experience with payments, loyalty or rewards ecosystems, marketplaces, or high-volume consumer transaction platforms preferred.Familiarity with PCI-DSS, tokenized payments, fraud prevention controls, and privacy frameworks such as CCPA and GDPR preferred.Experience in telecom, retail, fintech, or other high-transaction-volume environments preferred.Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on technical experience—preferred.Familiarity with event streaming and modern platform tooling such as Kafka or Kinesis, cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP, observability tools, CI/CD workflows, and feature flagging solutions is a plus.The base salary for this position is $92,000 – $145,000 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
