Job description

Traffic Control Technician

This is a hands on, on the job learning, specialized industry. We're hiding in plain sight!  Think flashing lights and orange cones. You will be responsible for lane closures, flagging operations, road closures and more. If this interests you, apply today!

Key Responsibilities:

·         Set up traffic signs, cones, barrels, barricades, and other equipment in accordance with traffic control plans and safety regulations.

·         Serve as a flagger when needed, using hand signals, signs, or flags to safely direct vehicles and pedestrians through or around work zones.

·         Follow all safety standards and protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring traffic control setups comply with regulatory requirements.

·         Dismantle and remove traffic control devices upon project completion, restoring the roadway to normal conditions.

·         Clean, store, and perform basic maintenance on traffic control devices and tools to ensure they remain in good working condition.

·         Perform other duties as assigned by management.

·         Able to work 40+ hours a week. 

Qualifications:

  •  Certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) preferred
  • Proven experience working as a Traffic Control Technician preferred
  • Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
