Traffic Control Technician

Position Summary

The Traffic Control Tech I or II is responsible for setting up and managing traffic control measures like signs and cones, directing vehicle and pedestrian flow, and ensuring safety in roadwork zones, construction sites, or during incidents

Performance, Procedures and Efficienciesย 

  • Load & unload work vehicle/trailer
  • Drive company vehicles once certified
  • Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations
  • Aid in the set-up and removal of traffic diversion devices, including barrels, cones, signs, barricades, rumble strips and other related equipment with direction
  • Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals
