Job description

Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a NDE Helper to be an integral part of our Fabrication team. Epic takes pride in our quality of work and has a goal of building our workforce with the most talented employees. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Assist with nondestructive testing equipment setup. Assist in calibrating nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance with procedures and standards.
  • Assist in preforming other job-related tasks as assigned by certified inspector/technician.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environment guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  • Record results of tests and inspection under direct supervision from the training NDE Technician.
  • Measure dimensions of defects to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers under direct supervision of training NDE Technician.
  • Notify supervisors or other personnel of production or quality problems.
  • Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs under direct supervision of training NDE Technician.
  • Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards under direct supervision of training NDE Technician.
  • Position products, components, or parts for testing.
  • Stack or arrange tested products for further processing, shipping, or packaging.
  • Adjust, clean, or repair products or processing equipment to correct defects found during inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience: None specifically required
  • Computer Skills: None specifically required
  • Certification/Licenses: None required
