Responsibilities

Howย youโ€™llย make an impact in this roleย 

  • Controls, starts, and shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant equipmentโ€”including boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, and compressorsโ€”using control boards and sequential switches.ย 
  • Monitors meters, gauges, and computer systems at established intervals to regulate power flow, adjust water levels, and detect potential operating problems.ย 
  • Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs, such as cleaning, lubricating equipment, and tightening leaking joints, to prevent system failure or deterioration.ย 
  • Documents plant operations byย maintainingย accurateย logs, completing forms, writing equipment malfunction reports, and handling emergency outage communication.ย 
  • Leads team operations by assigning daily work to maximize plant efficiency,ย assistingย with shift scheduling, and training team members on equipmentย monitoringย and maintenance.ย 
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross-functional teams,ย participatesย in informational meetings and workshops, andย assistsย with specialย projects asย assigned.
