Trade & Cash Operations Analyst
$92K-$120K Base | Bay Area | Hybrid

A prestigious university is seeking a Trade & Cash Operations Analyst to join its investment office in the San Francisco Bay Area to support securities transactions, cash movements, investment data, reporting, and daily operational workflows for a large endowment investment portfolio.

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented investment operations professional with experience in trade settlement, cash flow management, reconciliations, and investment reporting. The role will work closely with internal investment teams, brokers, custodian banks, and other external partners to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent investment operations support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate securities transactions, settlements, reconciliations, and complex investment activity
  • Prepare cash forecasts for daily asset allocation reporting and explain key fluctuations
  • Prepare fund movements for authorization, including internal transfers, wire setup, and investment funding
  • Maintain accurate accounting and investment data across the investment portfolio
  • Monitor investment approvals and activity while serving as a key point of contact for internal and external parties
  • Produce management reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for investment oversight and decision-making
  • Serve as a first-line resource for brokers and custodian banks while identifying and resolving operational issues
  • Support project work, process improvements, and change management initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with equity and fixed income settlement, cash operations, investment processing, or trade operations
  • Exposure to a variety of investment types, including public and private investments
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with financial modeling, business intelligence tools, reporting, or dashboard creation
  • Familiarity with securities, derivatives, complex financial instruments, investment processing, and reporting standards
  • Bloomberg Terminal experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
