Job Summary

Execute securities purchases and sales of listed equity, equity derivatives and preferred securities, in both the domestic and global markets for Truist Bank fiduciary accounts in both the Wealth and Institutional line of business. Provide the investment and client service teammates with ongoing information about market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume, and volatility. Develop and maintain relationships with broker/dealers, trading partners, vendor and technology providers to facilitate fulfillment of portfolio management function for Wealth and Institutional client base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for monitoring multiple trade blotters and the execution of complex equity and equity derivative trades in both the domestic and global markets, oversight and mentoring of junior staff trading activity.

2. Provide support to investment personnel with market color, pre-trade analytics and research.

3. Utilization of trading OMS/EMS systems, accounting platforms and applications utilized in the daily operation of the equity trading desk including pre & post-trade analysis, algo's, dark pools and ATS systems.

4. Work with the head of Equity Investments, Portfolio Managers, Investment and Research Analyst, Portfolio Asset Allocation Team and Model Trading team to implement and execute strategies, model changes and asset allocation rebalances.

5. Oversight of the equity trading middle office processing including reviewing and resolving unmatched confirms and failed trades, and supporting the trade settlement process including interaction with bank custodian and brokerage trade settlement operations departments.

6. Resolve more complex trade errors in a timely and accurate manner including documentation as necessary for both portfolio managers and traders.

7. Act as back-up to Trading Manager.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelorโ€™s Degree or equivalent education, training or experience.

2. Five or more years of equity trading experience including equity derivatives.

3. Knowledge of trading OMS/EMS systems, accounting platforms and trading applications utilized in the daily operation of the equity trading desk including pre & post-trade analysis, algoโ€™s, dark pool and ATS utilization.

4. Knowledge of the investment process, market structure and market regulations.

5. Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment, make quick decisions and execute workflow accurately and efficiently.

6. Ability to comprehend complex concepts, learn new systems quickly.

7. Ability to oversee the equity trading desk and junior traders when necessary.

8. Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Five or more years of buyโ€‘side trading experience.

2. Knowledge of Longview/Charles River Trading OMS/EMS Systems and SEI Trust 3000 Accounting System.
