Our Canadian operations are currently looking for a motivated team player with a strong technical background for an exciting role in our ETF and Derivatives trading group within Institutional Equities. This is a client-facing position that provides liquidity in ETFs and execution services in equity futures/options for institutional investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate institutional client orders across ETFs, equity index and single-stock futures, and equity options.
  • Quote competitive markets, provide liquidity in Canadian-listed ETFs, and manage inventory risk.
  • Opportunity to also identify and pursue quantitative trading strategies within equities markets.
  • Deliver market colour, trade ideas, and execution to clients.
  • Build and enhance internal tools that support pricing, risk management, execution, and client service.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in capital markets, equity trading, derivatives, quant trading, or a related client-facing / institutional role.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Strong commercial instincts, communication skills, and practical understanding of equity markets and listed derivatives.
  • Strong understanding of ETF ecosystem dynamics, including authorized participants, creation / redemption processes, and market structure.
  • Experience trading derivative instruments including futures, options, swaps, and FX products.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, portfolio management principles, and risk management practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and market / trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Fidessa, IRESS, WEX, or equivalent systems.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
