Job description

This position is primarily responsible for IBOR Recon, Order Generation for Trading, Account Rebalancing, Corporate Actions, and Post Trade Support. This will generally involve close communication with Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Management Teams, Traders and Compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide daily trading operations support from end-to-end, to all Portfolio Management groups within CI, with timelyorder generation processing and settlement of various asset classes, including: Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives
  • Perform Start of Day IBOR position reconciliation.
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining, and re-balancing portfolios in accordance with the portfolio manager's model.
  • Responsible for monitoring cash levels in the portfolios and investigating any issues to make sure the portfolios hold sufficient cash at all times
  • Key contact for the portfolio management teams
  • Provide guidance and assistance to the other team members, to help build the depth and breadth of skills and knowledge on the team
  • Communicate trade allocations across all markets to brokers, custodians and clients where necessary, verifying trades settle on time and research and correct any trade discrepancies
  • Act as a point of contact for simple and complex instruments for post trade settlement discrepancies, as well as downstream Performance and Risk applications tools.
  • Investigate and resolve both simple and complex price challenges
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities and enhancements to improve functions
  • Monitor daily reconciliations between various internal and external systems
  • Develop a zero-tolerance attitude for trading and accounting errors, working tirelessly to reduce risks of errors and to quickly eradicate any that may arise.
  • Proactively research and validate multiple corporate action events for multiple markets across a diverse range of portfolios
  • Manage collateral held at counterparty, brokers and custodians
  • Maintain team procedures and provide regular management reporting
  • SMF maintenance and monitoring

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelors' degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of "middle office" experience in the industry, preferably in a similar position
  • Completion of, or working towards a professional designation in the finance industry such as the CFA or FRMis a plus
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Charles River Order Management systems
  • Experience with Collateral Management Systems, CTM, DTCC Alert, Clearpar and other market products for trade matching and settlements
  • Strong understanding of Exchange and OTC derivative valuation in one or more asset classes
  • Advanced Excel Skills and experience writing and working with various programming languages - Python, SQL, VBA, etc.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to understand business needs and translate those needs into workable solutions
  • Strong attention to detail andanalytical skills to clearly identify key issues
  • Solid knowledge of the financial markets Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with time-sensitive deadlines

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. Theanticipatedbase salary range for this position is$55,000to $95,000. Exactsalary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
