Global Banking & Markets, FICC - Systematic Credit Trader Who Codes, Associate - West Palm Beach/NY

The Global Banking & Markets Division seeks an Associate for its Systematic Credit Trading desk, focusing on US Credit market making and systematic strategies, particularly within the Total Return Swap business. Candidates should have strong mathematical skills, programming experience (in Slang, C++, Java, or Python), effective communication abilities, and an interest in systematic trading, with preferred experience in credit products and funding or lending businesses. Responsibilities include improving risk management and funding models, managing desk risk, and writing efficient, well-tested code.

Job Summary 

Candidates joining the Systematic Credit Trading desk are engaged in market making and its related functions in US Credit. Team members combine their mathematical, programming and market expertise to build and generate systematic strategies. 

The desk looks for individuals with strong communication, both written and verbal, strong mathematical skillsets, programming experience, and who are motivated to get hands on experience with systematic trading.  

This role is specifically focused on the desk's nascent Total Return Swap business - both the delta and funding side of the business. 

Responsibilities 

  • Make quantitative improvements to risk management and funding models 
  • Assist with managing desk risk 
  • Write efficient, well tested code to accomplish the above  

Required Qualifications   

  • Programming experience in Slang, C++, Java, or Python 
  • Bachelors or Masters in a STEM area 
  • Strong communication both written and verbal 
  • Interest in systematic trading 

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Prior experience with Credit products 
  • Prior experience in a funding or lending business
