Trade Support Senior Associate

As a Trade Support Senior Associate in the Prime Finance Trading Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all trades executed are entered completely and accurately into the Risk Management systems and liaising with various other teams on issues related to Equity Swap trades: e.g. Product Control, Sales, Sales Support, Cash and Derivative Settlements, Client Services, Reconciliations, Technology, Business Management.

The Prime Finance Trading Services Team is a part of the Corporate and Investment Bank which is a global leader across investment banking, wholesale payments, markets and securities services. The world's most important corporations, governments and institutions entrust us with their business in more than 100 countries. We provide strategic advice, raise capital, manage risk and extend liquidity in markets around the world.

Job responsibilities

  • Performs core start-of-day and end-of-day controls to ensure Risk is correctly represented for Front Office
  • Manages daily Equity Swap/derivative trade life cycle events (expiries, dividends, corporate actions, etc.)
  • Ensures all trade capture and reporting exceptions are verified, cleared and escalated appropriately in a timely manner
  • Liaises with various other Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office Teams on issues related to Cash Equity trades
  • Performs continuous improvement of the pre and post trade controls environment
  • Maximizes trade processing STP (Straight-through processing) through tactical problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Produces analysis for the trading desks and senior management
  • Provides input into core projects including; industry-wide initiatives, regulatory, trading strategy, operational programs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong security and derivative products knowledge
  • Operational experience
  • Sound understanding of Equity Swaps, Cash Equities, Derivative products, trading workflows and corporate actions
  • Experience in supporting Trading Desks in Prime/Hedge Fund business
  • Familiarity of various risk management systems and an advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong PC Skills: in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Confidence to communicate with senior managers effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to different business needs
