The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Operations Intern to support our execution business. The successful candidate will be involved with our institutional buy side trading operations. This role will support our brokers and serve as the primary point of trade operations.

Dynamex Trading & Execution specializes in offering an agency only broker who works with hedge funds, mutual funds, broker dealers, family offices, investment managers, RIA's, and other institutional clients.

The Skill Set

A broad, multi-platform skill set will help you be successful in this role, but there will be plenty of learning opportunities no matter how many of these skills you bring in with you.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the post-trade process for all transactions.
  • Develop mastery of OMS and accounting systems.
  • Work closely with brokers on trade reconciliation, problem resolution and other pertinent issues.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal policies and applicable regulations and standards.
  • Special projects as needed by the team.
  • Develop and create new and innovative ways for Dynamex's operations to be streamlined.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on clear and concise verbal communication.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Retention of knowledge and ability to apply past experience to current situations.
  • Availability to work on-site 5 days per week from 8:15 AM โ€“ 4:15 PM ET.

  • Python / VBA experience a plus.
Within 1 Month, You'll
  • Complete your initial orientation and become familiar with our environment, people, and business.
  • Begin a comprehensive, cross-functional training plan to learn more about every aspect of our firm.
  • Learn the roles and skillsets of your teammates on the Dynamex team to discern and utilize the best advice and information for yourself and others.
Within 3 Months, You'll
  • Achieve a basic operational knowledge.
  • Be comfortable with trade problem resolution.
  • Attend training classes to learn more about derivatives and the securities industry.
Within 1 Year, You'll
  • Achieve knowledge of Dynamex's operations as a whole .
  • Be comfortable self directing task, booking, keeping track and accounting for all trades.
  • Develop and optimize our operations processes.
