Job description

Job Description Job Title: Equities Trade Operations Analyst Location: New York, NY Duration: 6 months Pay Rate: $33/HR (W2 Only) Job/Role Description: Support post-trade operations for Equities Sales and Trading desks, helping ensure accurate and efficient trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and risk management. Partner with internal teams and external parties to support the booking and settlement of equity trades and maintain accurate books and records. Work directly with custodians, issuers, and external brokers to resolve issues related to settlement instructions, trade settlement, and outstanding cash or stock breaks.

Investigate daily operational exceptions and inquiries to identify root causes and determine appropriate resolutions. Review exceptions within internal books and records, resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues when necessary. Support reconciliation activities and help identify and resolve cash, position, and trade-related breaks.

Maintain a strong focus on operational risk, controls, and accuracy throughout the trade lifecycle. Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities to reduce operational risk and eliminate repetitive or inefficient work. Partner with internal stakeholders to help achieve strong operational and client service outcomes.

Assist with small projects and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Manage multiple processing deadlines throughout the day while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree.

Strong attention to detail with a risk-conscious and control-focused mindset. Ability to present complex information in a clear, structured, and concise manner. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.

Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated interest in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Ability to manage small projects and initiatives. Ability to influence stakeholders and implement change within a consensus-driven environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
