We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Trade Operations at our Corporate Headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.


The Senior Analyst, Trade Operations reports to the Manager, Trade Operations and supports the administration, execution, accuracy, and improvement of RCP's trade promotion processes and systems. The role partners across Sales, Customer Marketing, Finance, RGM, and IT to help ensure trade processes, data, and systems operate effectively.

Trade Operations

  • Supports the administration and execution of trade promotion management processes by researching issues, coordinating resolutions, and ensuring timely completion of trade-related activities.
  • Maintains accurate trade promotion data, hierarchies, and system information to support reliable business operations.
  • Serves as a primary point of resolution for trade system and data-related issues, using active investigation, data analysis, and root cause identification to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Validates trade-related data updates to ensure consistent and reliable information across systems and business processes.

Data & Operational Support

  • Validates and distributes recurring operational reports and communications used to monitor trade activity and support business processes.
  • Uses reporting and analytical tools to investigate operational issues, validate data, and identify discrepancies.

Business Partnership

  • Partners with Sales, Customer Marketing, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, and other stakeholders to support trade operations and resolve operational issues.
  • Works with Information Technology and external vendors to research, test, validate, and implement system enhancements and issue resolutions.
  • Develop training materials, process documentation, and user communications to promote consistent, efficient usage of trade tools.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies opportunities to improve trade operations processes, workflows, documentation, and system use to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Recommends and supports approved process improvements that improve efficiency, consistency, and control.

Education/Experience

     Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, 
  • 4+ years of experience in operations, finance, sales support, trade, or revenue growth management (RGM)

     Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience working with business systems, reporting tools, or data processes, with a track record of troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.  
  • 3+ years of experience creating system training, user documentation, and process guidance for business users. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to validate data, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly. 
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Trade promotion management experience in the CPG industry is preferred. 
  • Experience with SAP, Exceedra, Power BI, Nielsen, Circana/IRI, or similar trade, reporting, and syndicated data tools is preferred.
